Primers are colorless and vary only in the types of formulas (look up Laura Mercier Primers) offered. Although using a primer is not an essential step before applying your tinted moisturizer, it will make the application of the tinted moisturzer flow more evenly on your skin.

I am fair skinned and can be a bit red at times and I like the Nude shade. I think it looks natural and evens out my skin tone.

I am also fair skinned with blue eyes and some redness. I used the nude tinted moisturizer but I would suggest finding a Laura Mercier counter because they helped me find the perfect product. I went to the local Neiman Marcus and had amazing results. Good luck!

In the Tinted Moisturizer I use Nude but it is a little yellow but I blend it out well and use it sparingly. In the illuminating Tinted Moisturizer Bare is beautiful when used as a highlighter. The concealers SC-3 and SC-2 are perfect for mixing the right color to cover my trouble redness spots such as my nose or some spots on my chin.

The original Tinted Moisturizer is not oil-free. I suggest using the oil-free version becasue it is considered non-comedogenic for a more sensitive skin type.

There is a Oil-Free Tinted Moisterizer that I would recommend you try though I have never used it. I use the Tinted Moisturizer and although I have small pores I have never had a problem with this product. It is not over-hydrating at all and I am sensitive to products being too rich for my small pores as well.

SPF hypoallergenic?

I have really, really, really sensitive skin, which prevents me from using most products with a Sun Protection Factor. Would anyone be able to say that the SPF in the tinted moisturizer is somewhat hypoallergenic or okay for people with sensitive skin to use?

I have sensitive skin, but I have never had any reaction to the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I use this product everyday, either alone or mixed with a foundation when I have a special event.

Yes all of our foundations are considered hypoallergenic. I would try the oil-free formula since its more suitable for sensitive skin types.

It really depends on if you consider your skin to be more of a lighter shade or in the medium skin tone range. The illuminating tinted moisturizer is very sheer so can be worn by light to medium skin tones. The original and oil free versions provide a little more coverage. If you consider your self to be light i suggest using Nude, and if you feel like you are more of a medium skin tone try Sand.
